Hard Work Pays Off
In the grand scheme of things, SportsCenter will never air any of the games I played in, I won't get drafted, competitive associated athletics has ended for me. And you know what? Thats perfectly okay. I am not God's gift to baseball, if anything baseball has been one of God's best gifts to me. I want to share sports with people that can't experience competition themselves. No ones cares about my athletic career, but there are plenty of other talented athletes that could be impactful on the community and I would love to be part of the team that sets them on the path to do so.
For many years I have played sports and I love the pressure of competition. Anderson University has a longstanding tradition of fielding competitive teams and I was lucky enough to experience that tradition first hand. We ended senior year with a team record of 32-13, an HCAC Conference tournament Championship and a Regional tournament appearance. My coach would always preach to control that parts of the game that can be controlled, this meant being aware of your mental, physical, and emotional state at all times. That paired with the a passion to succeed has driven me to be proud of my accomplishments on and off the field.
